Passions & Experience Areas

My 10 years of experience is rooted in creative storytelling, integrated marketing, event planning, business development and celebrity/influencer strategy. Below you'll find a detailed account of why I thrive in these areas, supporting experience summaries and my POV on each.
Community Relations -- When you can engage the community in support of a cause, the results benefit more people and groups than you ever imagine. Whether it's supporting Discover in bringing the Stanley Cup to a young boy diagnosed with cancer in partnership with Make-A-Wish, or promoting oral hygiene for Aspen Dental with the Healthy Mouth movement - I've organized, led and successfully engaged community partners across many clients.

Creative Storytelling -- Sales is in my blood and storytelling in PR is all about selling an idea. I used persistence, research and personal appeal to consistently earn top-tier media placements for my clients. Discover card in the WSJ, Associated Press and ESPN.com. MetLife on the back page of the The New York Times, startup SportRobe on the front page of ESPN.com, Can-Am Spyder on ESPN's SportsCenter and Good Morning America.

Integrated Marketing -- Working across disciplines can be uncomfortable, especially when all agencies must "fight" for their piece of the overall marketing budget. For both U.S. Cellular and Whirlpool, I helped lead our integrated team in building relationships with partner agencies, by listening, understanding each teams' goals and being flexible in the approach. Ask me more about the award-winning Most Valuable Coach program for U.S. Cellular and the Cannes Lion winning Whirlpool team.

Event Planning -- There are few things more thrilling than seeing an original event come together in front of your eyes. I've been fortunate that clients have trusted me and my teams with multi-million dollar events. How about a branded, 18,000-pound ice sculpture of the NYC city skyline? We made it happen and the New York Times was so impressed, they ran a back-page story with a photo.
